McCain needs a socially conservative Vice President who will rally the Republican base and attract more voters to the party:
My three choices:
Michael Steel - Black with great personality and would attract a more votes. He is pro-life and would help secure the Republican base while inspiring voters. This is especially important since Obama is seen as inspiring and he is sure to be on the ticket on the other side.
Mike Huckabee- Another man who inspires voters, especially Evangelicals. He would help McCain especially in the Southern States. He does have an appeal to the core values of the base and has received praise from such Conservatives as Dr. Dobson (who doesn't trust McCain).
Sam Brownback- Here is a man Conservatives trust and is supporting McCain. He can help rally the base while having the appeal of a Regan Conservative. Brownback would love the job and he would be good at helping McCain to get it right when it comes to selecting judges.
